Our Company

Deserved Comfort is well known to the greater Columbia area. We are a member of the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce and have been providing service to many of the same clients for years.

Our Owners

In 1986, Bunny McKelvey, a native of Columbia, SC and a former banker, established Deserved Comfort. After realizing the demand for this type of service, and after intensive market research, Bunny hired several employees, engaged them in a rigorous training program, and began her quest to provide the highest quality cleaning service available, at reasonable rates.

In 1987 while attending the University of South Carolina, Marlo McKelvey Kanipe, Bunny's daughter, joined the company. Marlo is currently the owner and manager of Deserved Comfort and still emphasizes quality service, client satisfaction and reasonable rates. She resides in Cayce with her husband, Ralph, owner of Done Right Home Improvement, LLC.

Deserved Comfort's professional staff is of excellent character, hardworking and take pride in a job well done.

Deserved Comfort staff are thoroughly screened and professionally trained. Our company pays all state and federal payroll taxes and insurance, and complies with all taxation laws, thereby relieving our clients of this legal requirement. Our staff is bonded and fully covered by workers compensation and general liability insurance.
